In order to examine the performance of evaporative condensation water chillers, reforms the cold source of equipment management room of an underground railway station in a city of southern China. Replaces one of the two air-cooled chillers with an evaporative condensation water chiller, which has the same cooling capacity as that of the original air-cooled one. Tests the energy consumption and performances of these two kinds of chillers under the condition of the same indoor cooling load and the same outdoor temperature and humidity. The result shows that the performance of the evaporative one is higher than that of the air-cooled one, which can achieve the expected performance.
